Wetland Delineations / Determinations

Our company has been working in and around wetlands actively since 2005. We have two fully Certified Wetland Delineators on staff. We establish the existence and precise location of wetland to the required sub-meter accuracy. We strictly adhere to the protocols, field evaluation and documentation of wetlands and uplands and their boundary. Our subsequent report format and submission also adheres to the standards required by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Oregon Department of State Lands (DSL). We pride ourselves on submitting a report that is correct the first time so that the regulatory process is streamlined.

Wetland Restoration and Monitoring

Since 2005, we have been involved in the restoration and monitoring of wetlands and waterways. The photographs below are a former drained wetland that was restored over a period of four years. We also have conducted wetland monitoring as part of a mitigation projects.

Fish Salvage and Rescue

We have been conducting fish salvage and rescues since the early 1980’s. In 1985 we salvaged over 35,000 coho from the Tenmile Lakes Watershed. We have been actively involved fish rescue and salvage since that time. We have state-of-the-art fish collection equipment and have decades of experience providing the safe and timely removal of fish from a project area as required by law.

Fish Surveys to Establish Presence/Absence in Streams

We conduct fish presence/absence surveys in conjunction with various land use activities to ascertain the levels of protection that are needed for the stream habitat.

Riparian Restoration

  • Planting
  • Fencing (limited)

Riparian Restoration Planting and Fencing

Since the early 1980s our staff have planted hundreds of thousands or tree and saplings along miles of critical stream habitat. Concurrently we have fenced miles of streams to exclude livestock except in designated watering areas. Our riparian restoration efforts are some of the most recognized for their success in the transformation of stream habitat. In 1989, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife recognized our staff for the best riparian restoration projects in Western Oregon.
